‘Faruk murder case’ MP rana’s bail the rejected

Tangail district Awami League leader and freedom fighter Faruk Ahmed murder case MP Rana has been denied bail. On November 22, the judge fixed the day for the next witness in the case.

On Thursday morning, MP amanur rahman khan Rana, MP of Freedom fighter Faruk murder case, was brought from Kashimpur jail to Tangail judicial court. Tangail additional district and session judge Maksuda Khanam started the judicial proceedings in this tea-laced case. State prosecutor Faruk Hasan Bhuiyan, Solaiman and Anwar Hossain witnessed the case. Later, the testimonies and cross-examination of these three witnesses ended at 1pm.

During the hearing, the defendant Aminur Rahman Khan MP of Tangail-3 (Ghatail) constituency Amanur Rahman Khan heard about bail. Senior lawyers of Tangail Abdul Baki Miah, Arfan Ali Mollah and other lawyers, took part in the hearing.

On the other hand, additional public prosecutor Monirul Islam Khan opposed bail in the state. Help him Ed. Other lawyers including Rafiqul Islam Earlier, the prosecution started on 11 February in the presence of the plaintiff in the case.

It is to be noted that on January 18, 2013, the body of the district Awami League member Faruq Ahmed was rescued from the house of his collegepara area. Three days after the incident, his wife Nahar Ahmed filed a murder case against Tangail Sadar Police Station and arrested the unidentified persons. In the investigation of the detective police in August 2014, the name of Rana and his brothers came out in the killing. On February 3, 2016, the Intelligence Police submitted the charge sheet to the court after the investigation. Apart from MP Rana, in addition to his three brothers, Tangail Municipality’s former mayor Sahedur Rahman Khan mukti, businessman leader Zahidur Rahman Khan Kakon, former vice-president of the central Chhatra League, Saniyat Khan Bappa, and 14 others are in the case. On September 6, the court has framed charges against the defendants.
