JMB member jailed for 15 years in Tangail

Tangail sent a JMB member Belal Khan Ranju 15 years and six months in jail. Another fine of Tk 3,000 was also given in the absence of further six months in prison. Judge of the District and Sessions Judge Rabiul Hasan gave the verdict on Thursday noon on 11 January. He is the son of Ujjal of Khanpara village under Mirzapur union of Gopalpur upazila.
Court Inspector Anwarul Islam said that police arrested Belal Khan Ranju with a large number of Jihadi books and explosives in 2015. Later, the police filed a case against him and filed a case against him under the Anti-Terrorism Act. The court gave the verdict as the charges against him were proved.
