MP Golam Mostafa no more

Ghibandha-1 (Sundarganj) constituency lawmakers Golam Mustafa died. He died on Tuesday (December 19th) at 8:00 am, under the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) of Dhaka. Gaibandha-2 constituency MP Mahbub Ara Begum Gini informed the information. Golam Mustafa was 67 years old at the time of his death. He left behind a son, two daughters, and many appreciative people.

Earlier, on November 18, four seriously injured persons including Golam Mustafa, a road accident in Natiapara of Tangail. In collision with the bus, the driver carrying the microbus gets crushed. Later, the MP was admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) of Dhaka. He died there.

President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Speaker of the Parliament, Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury expressed deep shock at the death of Golam Mostafa.

On 31 December last year, MP Manzurul Islam Liton, MP of Gaibandha-1 constituency, was shot dead in a house at Sahabaj village under Sundarganj upazila. After this election, Golam Mustafa was elected an MP after losing the Jatio Party candidate in the by-elections on March 22 this year.

Golam Mustafa was in charge of the general secretary of Sundarganj Upazila Awami League for several decades. Besides, he was elected chairman of Chandipur Union Parishad.
