Three killed in Mirzapur road accident

Three people of the same family were killed in a truck manger in Tangail’s Mirzapur. Five others were injured in the incident. The accident occurred on Tuesday (October 16th) in Shuvulla area of ​​Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway.

The deceased were identified as Niranjan Mally (32), his wife Sagari Mali (25) and daughter Sorna (7) of Shikaranjan village of Joypurhat sadar upazila.

Gorai highway Assistant sub-inspector  Matiur Rahman told that a truck carrying Bogra-bound tiles left from Dhaka fell into a nearby ditch after losing control at Shuvulla in the upazila. At that time, three of the eight passengers on the roof died on the spot. They used to go from Bogra to Chara on a low rent from the Chandra. They were working in a garment factory. Their bodies were recovered and taken to the police station. However, the truck driver and helper who fled the accident fled, he said.

Mirzapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) AKM Mizanul Haque said that the driver of Gazipur lost a truck on the highway at Shuvolla in Joypurhat. At that time the truck reversed on the highway. Three passengers on the roof of the truck were buried under the tiles and died on the spot. Among the three passengers killed, the husband and wife of the same family and one child are children. Five more injured were given first aid at Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital.
